WHO WE ARE: Eastbury House Residential Home
WHAT WE DO: Eastbury House strives to be like a home – sometimes we have perfect toast and occasionally we burn it! We have refreshments in the middle of the night and are happy to have lie-ins. Breakfast is when you wake up and supper when you are hungry. Nothing is mandatory and everything is possible. We pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide which is gentle, efficient and without fuss.
We’re situated in the centre of Sherborne, opposite the Eastbury Hotel, and near enough to town that meeting friends for coffee and lunch is easy – as is a visit to the library, local shops or the farmers’ market. We love having visitors, tea in the garden and taking our residents on trips to the theatre, pub, local farm shops and seaside.
Eastbury House is a late 16th century house. Each of our individual 20 rooms has a telephone and television and we have a beautiful walled garden full of colour and scent where our residents can often be found reading the morning paper or having a snooze after lunch, weather permitting of course.
Our food is locally sourced for our home cooking – choice is the key word over everything: what time you rise – when you eat – what you wear – where and when you go and with whom and who your doctor is.
