Our 2020 AGM was held last night and chaired by Jane Wood. As a Chamber we reflected on what a tough year it has been and how creative, innovative and exceptional the businesses have been and what an amazing sense of community there is among the town and its residents.
With 2020 being a year of change and new ways of working, the Chamber committee itself has seen some change too.
Sue Smith who has been President of the Chamber for a significant number of years has stepped down and has been replaced by Jane Wood of Oliver’s. We hope you will all join us in thanking Sue for all her service to the local community.
With the now chair seat vacant, Keith Bawden, Leweston School/Leweston Enterprises was elected to fulfil this role, with Taff Martin remaining as vice-chair. We hope you will congratulate them both and support them in the year to come.
We are also delighted to welcome Carl Hankey (Viper Gin), Laura Hitchcock (Blackmore Vale) and Tina Kerr (Kafe Fontana) as new members to the committee and again we hope you will welcome them and wish them well in the year to come.
In the coming weeks the Chamber will meet and more information will be shared to the members about upcoming events, workshops and exciting projects we will be working towards for 2021.
