Who are Sherborne Chamber

What we do

The Sherborne Chamber of Trade and Commerce exists to promote its members’ businesses and the wider business community and town beyond. It has a membership in excess of 150 and welcomes new members to join.

The Chamber is involved in just about every event that takes place in the town, supporting the Sherborne community, attracting media interest and making the experience of visitors to the town more memorable.

We are involved with a number of local groups and forums to improve life in Sherborne and to promote business opportunities.  We have good links with local schools and charitable organisations and involve them in projects whenever we can.  The Chamber also contributes to the town by supporting summer and winter hanging baskets, Christmas trees and of course the town’s annual Festive Shopping Day.

Up and down the country, there are tales of doom and gloom regarding the state of our high streets. Here in Sherborne we have a different story to tell and we are delighted to welcome new stores. We’d also like to stress that the Chamber is also here to support the businesses in outlying villages, which may not have such an organisation.

We are focusing very hard on trying to make sure our members feel value in their membership. We offer free training sessions throughout the year on varying topics from HR and Employment Law to group sessions with a local Business Coach. We will happily promote member’s news on our News page and post events on our Events page
